2 months old!

Tripp is now almost 2 months old and we had his 2 month check-up today!  He has gained 10 ounces a week since our last visit and is now 23 Inches long!  We are so blessed to have this little man in our family – children are such a sweet gift from God!  Here are a few things Tripp is up to now:                                                                                         

* He sleeps through the night most of the time.  We usually get him to bed by 8:30 and he sleeps until 5  – sometimes 6 if I’m lucky!

* He eats about 6 times a day – this works out to every 3 hours with a nap after 1 1/2 – 2 hours of awake time.  He has a pretty good schedule going and I don’t remember having his sister this “figured out” at 2 months!

* He almost always falls asleep on his own – sometimes there is fussing involved and I comfort him when he’s struggling to get to sleep – we will let him start to “cry it out” in the next month or so.  Usually he goes right to sleep at night without ANY crying – what a blessing!

* He takes one longer nap each day (1.5 – 2 hours)… sometimes it’s when his sister is asleep too!

* He smiles constantly!  He is generally very happy and only fusses when he’s tired or hungry.

* He seems to be a tummy sleeper!  We haven’t done this at night yet, but he takes all of his naps on his stomach and seems to be happier there.
